Vitra Tables

Vitra is a family-owned company which was founded by Willi and Erika Fehlbaum in 1950. By chance, they fell in love with furniture designed by Charles and Ray Eames on a trip to the USA in 1953.

They got the licence to produce them, bringing Eames furniture to Europe in 1957. Other licences followed allowing them to produce furniture by other designers such as Isamu Noguchi and George Nelson, amongst many others.

A Vitra dining table is a must for anyone who likes to make a statement with their interior design. The Vitra Noguchi dining table is particularly spectacular with a central base made of chromed rods. Not only is the base beautiful, but it is also practical - it’s exceptionally strong and allows for leg space that many circular tables don’t provide.

The Noguchi coffee table is another example of Isamu Noguchi’s stunning design work and specifications. A glass top sits dramatically on a solid wood sculptured base, whose pieces are exactly the same size and balance on one another at right angles.

The Vitra Eames coffee table is a re-edition of the original, which was designed by for the legendary Eames House near Los Angeles in 1949. This premium design classic is an investment piece and will provide understated elegance to any interior.

A wonderful example of the Vitra design solution is the Vitra NesTable. This Vitra table is perfect for working from home from your laptop or for looking at a laptop or tablet from an armchair. The table surface is surprisingly soft to touch and sits on top of an adjustable column. This Vitra table surface can be angled to your optimal viewing position. The Vitra NesTable can easily be stored away when not in use, although it is so stylish, you’re sure to want to leave it on show.
