&Tradition Chairs

&tradition is a Danish design company founded in 2010, with the ethos of mixing tradition and Nordic heritage with innovation.

The brand’s designers redefine aesthetics, materials and techniques, creating new classics for the design market.

The &tradition In Between chair by Sami Kallio is a design classic. The name ‘In Between’ comes from the gaps in the crescent shaped back and armrests. The wood craftsmanship of this chair is impressive, with traditional techniques such as woodturning and compression moulding used.

This handsome chair is suitable for most settings and can be used as a dining chair, a chair in a waiting room or an additional side chair in a living room or kitchen.

The animated and playful &tradition Catch chair by Jaime Hayon is as comfortable as it is a pleasure to look at. The arms rests are stretched out as if to catch you as you fall into a warm embrace. Hayon was inspired by his interest in graffiti and skate culture. The colourful, curved form reflects skating ramps and graffiti bubble letters.

The &tradition FLY Chairs designed by SPACE Copenhagen are part of a lounge collection with a sofa and two armchairs. SPACE Copenhagen was founded by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaarden in 2005. They work on different design projects from interior design to art installations.

Comfort is at the forefront of these &tradition chairs. The traditional wood frame reflects old fashioned craftsmanship with a modern twist on the proportions - the legs are shorter, the curved back is larger, oversized, voluminous cushions are arranged for ultimate comfort. The result is something extraordinary, bold and unique.
