Knoll Desk

Based on the Bauhaus philosophy that modern furniture should complement architectural space rather than compete with it, Knoll was established in New York City in 1938 by Hans and Florence Knoll.

Florence Knoll’s contributions to the world of design are immeasurable, leading to her winning numerous industry awards and accolades in her career including the National Medal of Arts and the Red Dot Design Award.

The Knoll Franco Albini desk was originally designed by Franco Albini in 1928 and continues to be produced to this day.

One of the first European designers commissioned to work with Knoll, Franco Albini’s furniture - including the Albini desk - was designed to make use of the inexpensive raw materials that were available during the post-World War II era when other materials were extremely scarce.

The sleek, sophisticated design of the Albini desk demonstrates Franco Albini's commitment to rigorous craftsmanship and elegance combined with a minimalist aesthetic.

The polished plate glass desk top sits on a square steel tube frame with two black wooden ‘floating’ drawers. The rear open shelf is ideal for storing books or magazines.

Accentuating any office or study, the Knoll Albini desk complements any interior decor design scheme from traditional to contemporary.

Accompany your Albini desk with a Knoll chair for the perfect work space. Choose a Knoll Saarinen Tulip chair in black or white, or opt for a Knoll Bertoia side chair finished in a upholstery fabric of your choice. You’ll be able to work in comfort and style.
