Hay Bar Stools

Since appearing at the International Interiors Fair in Cologne in 2003, HAY has become a favourite with interior designers all over the world. HAY designs reflect the Scandinavian love of simplicity, function and humour with clean lines evident through the range.

HAY’s design ethos has always been inspired by Danish innovation and the style of the 1950s and 1960s. However, HAY don’t just reinterpret iconic pieces, instead redesigning them to suit the demands of the modern lifestyle.

HAY work with international designers - both well-known names in the industry and those who are up and coming.

The HAY About a Stool range continues the strong design of the ‘About A’ range from HAY. Designed by Hee Welling, the HAY About A Stool AAC 32 ranges from a choice of minimalistic plastic finishes to plush upholstered version.

The curved backrest provides comfort while the elegant steel or wood legs give an elongated, graceful appearance. This HAY stool will stand out from the crowd and draw the eye while keeping comfort a high priority.

The HAY Hee Bar Stool is set to be another design icon. The thinking behind the design was the desire to cut the design back to the basics, making the structure an art form and ensuring every necessary detail could fit a vast range of contexts. The legs of the HAY bar stool are striking - elegant and delicate yet simultaneously standing strong, firm and tall.

The stool skeleton wraps metre after metre of metal wire into beautiful lines. The key to the success is in the creation - the metal wire is electro-galvanised before it is lacquered, which makes it rust-resistant and perfect for outdoor use.
