Flos Floor Lights

Flos lighting designs have truly stood the test of time. The designs are so popular that the original visions of Achille Castiglioni, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Tobia Scarpa are still manufactured today, over half a century later.

The iconic Flos Arco floor light was first sold in 1962 and this masterpiece of lighting design is still in fashion today - much imitated but never bettered! The stunning marble base creates a luxurious point from which the stainless steel arch is poised from.

The inspiration behind the Arco floor lamp comes from street lights - a design concept which was then ingeniously turned into something graceful for the home, providing overhead lighting without ceiling suspension. Every detail was thought of - there are even holes in the marble base to place a stick in order to carry the lamp.

The Arco is now part of the collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art - a truly respected work of art.

Flos continuing to develop new lighting concepts alongside their classic floor lighting. In 2015, Flos unveiled the Flos Superloon Floor Light, designed by Jasper Morrison.

An instant design classic, the Superloon floor lamp features a dramatic flat LED disc which can rotate 360 degrees. Sitting on three legs, this conceptual light is adjustable in temperature and intensity. The versatile Superloon floor lamp provides both ambient light and a direct reading light.

Rossi Bianchi designed the refined Flos Ipnos floor light, a striking metal box design for those who appreciate the beauty of simplicity in Flos floor lamps. The Ipnos light source is seemingly invisible, allowing for the light that it emits to complement rather than dominate the room.

Flos floor lamps are truly iconic, uniting the concepts of art and design and combining fun and functionality.
