Artemide Suspension Lights

Ernesto Gismondi founded Artemide in 1960 in Italy and today Artemide products are distributed in 98 countries. Their success is due to the fact that Artemide lighting originates from the highest quality manufacturing and collaboration with leading designers and international universities for outstanding design research.

The Artemide ‘Human Light’ philosophy ensures the designers think about the user’s lifestyle and daily needs and routine, rather than just consider the aesthetics.

An Artemide light is a work of art with a practical purpose. Artemide lights are designed to support the user’s health and wellbeing as well as provide light for need and ambience.

The Artemide Pipe Suspension ceiling light by Herzog and de Meuron is a striking tubular steel structure covered in a transparent silicone sheath and ending with a conical shaped diffuser.

This light is both incredibly stylish and also highly practical as you can bend the structure to aim the light where you need it to provide direct or indirect light. These Artemide ceiling lights look particularly impressive when grouped together and are used in many stylish work spaces around the world.

The lamp is made from thermoplastic material and is also suitable for outdoor use. The Edge is also available as an Artemide pendant light - the Artemide Edge Suspension - which can be hung alone or in groups for additional visual impact.

Another Artemide pendant light is the classic Artemide Miconos Suspension, designed by one of the founding fathers of Artemide - aeronautical engineer Ernesto Giusmonsi. The spherical blown transparent glass diffuser is head-turning yet also gives off a light that is effective for both residential and commercial environments.
