Rugs

Rugs within the home provide the finishing touch and can really change the feel of a room. Like many home accessories, rugs can make a statement or blend in with the harmony of the room. Rugs can also absorb sound, which is especially useful in an apartment with wood floors. If you have a cold, stone floor, a rug will also add warmth.

Rugs can reinforce your design scheme if you pick out elements to match. Rugs can also serve to connect different spaces by using the same colour rug in each area.

In hallways, rugs can act as visual pathways, leading you into each adjoining room. This works especially well with patterned rugs which draw the eye.

Rugs can also be added to corridors to liven up a plain space.

There are some fabulous statement rugs in this collection. The Nanimarquina Kala Rug designed by Nani Marquina is so beautiful and so colourful it is artwork in itself.  The Hay Pinocchio Rug is another vibrant, colourful rug named after a Danish sweet - ideal for adding personality and colour to dark spaces.

The Nanimarquina Do-Lo-Rez Floor Rug also makes a striking statement rug. Inspired by low resolution, pixelated images, the contrasting squares create an illusion of depth - to add to this, each square sits at a different height to the one beside it.

This is a great rug to go underneath a table, or to used to create different areas or zones in an open plan space. A rug such as this one will serve to anchor the furniture, especially in an open plan area.

The Normann Copenhagen Oona Rug is a stylish rug that will look stunning in a contemporary, minimalist interior. The tactile softness of this rug, will automatically relax you as you tread across it.
